Sunset

Eric and I went out on the lake last sunday right at sunset and I got some really pretty photos.

All of these have not been processed at all. They are straight out of the camera, or SOOC.

The reflections on the water were really pretty too.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Now that the un-hip among us know what SOOC means, could you please translate the following confusing phrase:

"Happy Bokeh Wednesday."

What is bokeh? Why does it only happen on Wednesday? Are we supposed to observe this with cakes? Fasting? Candles? Challah? Myrrh? Seances? Raindances? Meditation? Knocking on doors and spreading the word of someone? Sitting under a Bo tree to achieve enlightenment? American flags? Pumpkin carving? Candy canes? Help me to understand!

From Wikipedia:
Bokeh (derived from Japanese boke), a noun form of bokeru, "become blurred or fuzzy") is a photographic term referring to the appearance of out-of-focus areas in an image produced by a camera lens using a shallow depth of field. Different lens bokeh produces different aesthetic qualities in out-of-focus backgrounds, which are often used to reduce distractions and emphasize the primary subject.

Bokeh does not only happen on Wednesdays, but many people like to acknowledge it on Wednesday. Why? Ask the bokeh gods.

As to how you should celebrate Bokeh Wednesday, let me refer to your original questions.
Cakes? Sure. Fasting? Absolutely not. Candles? Why not? Challa? Of course! Myrrh? Meh. Seances? Not so much. Raindances? Only if weather permits. Meditation? If you choose. Knocking on doors and spreading the word of someone? Only if you need the exercise. Sitting under a Bo tree to achieve enlightenment? Only if you need the enlightenment. American Flags? Those as well as any/every other country's flag. Pupmkin carving? Espically if Halloween falls on a Wednesday. Candy Canes? Not for me, thanks - I don't really care for them.

I hope this helps!
